Hi there. This post might not be to be quoted but to be understood as it's more as a philosophy. Studying architecture at university gave a head start of seeing engineering, maths, design, and art as philosophy all at once. As one of our teachers said mocking us, that architects are persons who are not good at engineering and not good at design enough so it's in between and we just give the color of the building. Here I would extremely disagree. We do not even give the color because that was the woman, the owner of the project. Aside the joke or brutal reality, now things become even more interesting and daily I come upon this question regarded to woodworking itself.
Putting a banana on the wall calling it art and selling it for millions it’s a privilege or being used to mock the art industry itself like as they call it f. you money. Demonstrating that doesn’t it matter. Now with our fellow intelligences that can draw, do math, create mathematical beauty. Be it color balance, complimentary colors... flawless fractals, golden ratios that lock into the vagus nerve within milliseconds. Where is art? Where is a good furniture? How to compete or even should we? When perfection, commodity, beauty and even soul itself is genuine, where is truth, what's reality?
Many think or live in escapism watching the matrix wanting to go out... build conspiracy theories. Now we advertise everything with quantum this and quantum that. The smarter to realize that human thinking shouldn’t be linear but it's designed to be multi-parallel and recursive as modern LLMs thinking. Collapsing ideas and industries in focal points of one. It's so funny. The recursiveness of thoughts. We teached AI with our thoughts dating back millennia. The reasoning, the rhythm of our thoughts, the predictability, the pattern. And now AI is teaching us to be a bit rational at a purchase. To see the math behind a purchase of a table as an example. To see reality as it is. To see an MDF table, a vinyl wrap or a contract as it is.
There was the movie: Arrival. When aliens taught us to think in not language but vector maps to connect ideas shapes concepts transcending time. It's real it happens now.
