Sure not all trees in this area look like this but look at the science. Normal trees enter a deep state of freezing dormancy during the winter. But this oak grew directly over the shallow crust of the Triassic aquifers near Baile Felix/ Oradea near not far from Peța River. At meters deep, the earth here simply does not "freeze|.
