Building the industrial machines having them in the yard was feeling we hit the jackpot in sense our work will be easy. The reality is different. Million dollars worth of equipment and AI at its best won't help you solve your work it just gives you more :). Sure machinery and AI is great however in this particular case as a joke it bring us back to stone age in sense of now maybe first time in our life we have the time to be a craftsman and creative.
The heavy lifting is made by the machines so we have time for true craftsmanship. Its funny in many ways. True contradiction. At least in our case we expected that this modern era or KovaKelo Labs will somehow kill the soul. And it just gave us more work :) . To concentrate where it matters. At KovaKelo now we could concentrate on materials play with chatoyancy. Biology chemistry. The alchemy. Playing with mm precise cutting. Building rotational "centrifugal" machines that even have no name.
This piece in particular was quite fragile in the middle and we needed to glue it together. If you notice in the middle as structurally it's just a smaller part or section where the wood touches together. I might think one of the best destination for it would be in the middle of a metal or glass table. Especially with...no I change my mind.
Wanted to say chiaroscuro light however remembered these roots do extraordinary well when others fail miserably. A diffuse light. The tannins the chatoyancy. The billion shades it captured the wood in the hardened soil full of minerals just comes true. Like true nature of humans. It just comes through. No matter what lighting you put it within you'll see its true nature. However it performs better at CRI 98 :).
A Century-Long Subterranean War

Look closely at the sweeping, three-dimensional waves in the wood grain. This intense optical effect—known as chatoyancy—is mathematically rare in nature. The warm, honey-gold hues are completely authentic, captured under neutral light with zero artificial color grading. To preserve this vibrant biochemistry forever, we subjected the massive root to heat modification. Chemical-free heat altered the core structure, forcing the wood into hygroscopic equilibrium. It is immune to warping and permanently stable for ultra-luxury, high-heat interior environments.
The Zero-Epoxy Organic Void Structure
Observe the deep, dramatic hollows and natural micro-fissures bridging the heavy root sections. We strictly refuse to erase this natural history by pouring thick, plastic epoxy resins over it. The voids remain organically open. We finished the entire surface with an advanced, micro-porous organic treatment. This bonds at the molecular level, creating a breathable, self-healing surface that repels liquid damage while keeping the raw, tactile nature of the tree perfectly intact.
